Becoming a Patient

What is a medical document and who provides it?

Once you've registered for an account on our website, the next step is to send us your medical document. A medical document for cannabis is like a prescription for other medicines. It is provided by a healthcare provider such as a physician or nurse practitioner. Your healthcare provider can send us the medical document directly by electronic fax or you can mail us the original to our offices. We will validate your medical document once we receive it and enable you to order within 24 hours of receipt.

Our Patient Services Team is always eager to help, if you have any questions regarding medical documents or the registration process, click the red chat icon below to connect with a team member.

Why does Atlas have fewer products than other License Producers?

Atlas produces pharmaceutical-grade medical cannabis with outstanding quality and consistency. We have indoor facilities with microclimate environments, working under strict quality control protocols throughout cultivation and processing (like pharmaceutical companies, we are obtaining our GMP certification), and have exclusive cultivar genetics. We are all about the science of cannabis as further evidenced by our innovative plant breed program as well as research relationships with Harvard Medical School and the University of Alberta.

This pharmaceutical grade approach means that we have smaller batch sizes than our competitors with a greenhouse or outdoor growing facility, but we believe our premium products are critical to being the trusted partner for our patients.

Do you offer compassionate pricing?

Yes, we do! We strongly believe in serving our patients and in helping those under financial pressure in our community.

Atlas is proud to offer a Compassionate Pricing Program with a discount of 20% on cannabis products and accessories for eligible customers.

To enroll in our Compassionate Pricing Program, please send us one of the following documents:

  • A copy of your most recent Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency showing that your personal income is less than $30,000 annually

  • Proof of enrollment in a financial assistance program from either the Federal or Provincial Government

  • Proof of employment, retirement or ID showing you are currently employed or retired with the military or as a First Responder

We accept submissions through email, fax or mail, whichever is easiest for you.

We'll enroll you in the Compassionate Pricing Program within three business days of receiving your information. You will be notified by email once it has been applied to your account. Please click the red chat icon below to contact a Patient Care Specialist if you have any questions.
